Firefox just wigged on me heeeeelp

Ok as far as I know I haven't changed a thing and I'm siting her and sudden Every website I try comes up for a few seconds then I get this stupid thing

File Not Found

Firefox can't find the file at jar:file:///usr/lib/firefox-3.0.3/chrome/browser.jar!/content/browser/undefined.

* Could the item have been renamed, removed, or relocated?
* Is there a spelling, capitalization, or other typographical error in the address?
* Do you have sufficient access permissions to the requested item?

usr/lib/firefox-3.0.3/chrome/browser.jar is there
Seamonkie still works I'm using Songbird to post this. Ideas?

Ha I just did noticed when I go to a https site I don't get the error only on http sites

I'm afraid I haven't got a clue what happened there but I'd go with a complete firefox purge followed by a reinstall:

sudo apt-get remove --purge firefox-3.0

Before saying yes make sure you get any fancy plugins that apt wants to get rid off at the same time onto your clipboard.

Then go for it and let it go through the motions. Once finished, do a

sudo apt-get install firefox-3.0

Finally, reinstall anything that got removed automatically during the purge.

BTW, you will not lose any of your bookmarks or anything else relating to your profile.

Well instead of a full reinstall I renamed my /home/ka9qlq/.mozilla/firefox director to a .bak and restarted FF and fixed the problem but I don't want to redo all my add-ons skins an customizations ..........crap!!!!!!!! Thanks though for giving me the idea. WHY CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, that what have been the next step. Now it is up to you to replace the new with the old to get all your old stuff back until you stumble across the mistake

Hay is there a way to tell apt-get to uninstall 3.0.3 and go back to 3.0.1? I want to see if that changes anything.
