    how to install windows within Linux

    Hi all , I was looking to install windows within Kubuntu 8.04 . How does one do this ? I read somewhere that i can install Windows and still keep linux as my main . No i'm not looking for dual boot but to install within my already running install of Kubuntu 8.04 . I need to be able to use Photoshop and Coraldraw9 . Please help Thanks Northernfrog

      What you need is Sun's Virtual Box (http://www.virtualbox.org/) ,and there is a good tutorial on how to set it up here: http://howtoforge.com/installing-vir...u-8.04-desktop

        Or my favorite: vmware player.

        I use a virtual xp (guest operating system) for all of my adobe needs (PSc4, flashc3, DWc3, etc). It is stable fast (depending on how much ram you have on your machine) and a click away

        There are plenty of posts here that cover that.
        It you need more info give us a shout.

              Thanks for all the info. Vmvare is not my cup of tea as one needs to buy , but i will look into Virtual Box.
              Hopefully it's free as in beer . Again thanks for all the help .

                You don't have to buy anything.
                The player is free, so is the server version.
                The workstaion can be downloaded as a eval. version, if you have to install xp.
