It logs into msn no problem, AIM will not login in, no errors, just tries and then gives up..I am using correct name and password...any idea?

Well First i think you should learn how to ask for help in a forum, you need to be more speciec about your problem and the software and hardware your using.
anyways your choice, your get more help that way .
I must say it seems to me that msn is very reluctant to sign in for me too, but it does, and works fine.
Are you use KDE wallet ? have your installed anything else im not an expert but on my box it takes a while for the Kde wallet to pop up after i enter the password everything works fine but if i start playing about with things before that point services start to fail you think this could be your problem.
