    openssh, putty and X11

    well this topic continues from this other one... but is not restricted by it

    im using openssh on the linux server
    putty on the winxp box

    i want to (see link below)

    to setup a geology server for the university since im a student there and need it to be dumbass-proff...
    so im testing it at home to make sure first... (that im not the dumbass 8))

    but since there are so many ways to do this i dont know which or what is the best one to chose so im asking for help

    it will just be a lan for internal use

    i would use kubuntu-only setup but there will be a lot of laptops n other pcs wanting to connect and they will have win... since i cant teach them all to jump over to kubuntu ill have to settle in the middle
