hostname changed in prompt since upgrade to 9.04 from 8.04

My prompt used to be "kurt@odin:/"

    now it's
    "kurt@localhost:/"

I checked both my /etc/hostname and /etc/hosts and hostname still shows odin and the last entry for 127.0.0.1 shows odin, so... what's going on here?

Take a look at your ~/.bashrc and ~/.profile files. I believe that that is where the prompts are set. However, if you haven't fooled around with your personal files, you might check /etc/bash.bashrc and /etc/profile files because those are the ones that get copied to your /home/[yourname] directory when your system is installed.

What, you ask, is the difference between .bashrc and .profile? One of them is used for login shells and the other isn't, but I can't remeber which is which
