KUBUNTU 8.10 installatin prob

hi everyone,
i just downloaded the 8.10 dvd version of Kubuntu. when i restart and and pass to installation, it does not take me to installation. and there r a series of message like this:

[ NUM ] Buffer I/O error on device Sr0, logical block [some block numbers]
[ NUM ] end-request: I/O error, dev Sr0 sector [disk sector numbers]

the series of NUM i get is in this format : 202.210037
202.210041 etc

and at end it does not load the installation window.

For ur information i have VISTA as my windows system and openSuse as my linux System.
I want to delete and format openSuse drives for putting KUBUNTU in place if i get to the installation of KUBUNTU.

Hi.

Did you burn it at 4x, and verify the burn, then select Check CD for defects when booting?

Whoops, you said DVD. I assume that it can still be checked, though.
