    help, i cannot boot my kubuntu after splah it's writen busybox v1.1.3 etc initramfs- what i must ho do?

    Did you check the installation CD? If you have not done this:

    Boot from the live CD - choose the Check CD option.

    If it is is not ok - it is recommended to burn at 4x.

      I Get the same thing, and i cant test if the CD is defective, because i get the same error when I boot from it and try to check the cd.

      And i have tried it from a 4x burnt CD

        OK - is this an old PC? Low on RAM?

        I just had the same problem with one of my old PCs.

        Solved it by using a Kubuntu 7.10 CD, and then did version upgrade.

          I had this same problem, and i have solved it, but lets do it slowly.

          Find in your BIOS how to enable ACPI its a HD configuration. I have a Gigabyte MOBO, and its under Integrated peripherals.

          BTW, are you trying out Kubuntu? plan on installing it?
