Getting Logitech Quickcam Messenger to work in Hardy with Skype

Hi, I have a Logitech Quickcam Messenger and I'm trying to get it working in Hardy with Skype. I followed the instructions on this page: http://www.kuhrti.de/index.php/linux...nger-on-linux/

    I got as far as:

    insmod ./qcmessenger.ko

It said Operation not permitted, so I tried this:

    sudo insmod ./qcmessenger.ko

This time it said "insmod: error inserting './qcmessenger.ko': -1 File exists"

So I don't know if I should go any further with the instructions or if there is something I need to fix before moving on.

    Thanks!

I suspect that even the article you referenced is intended for kubuntu 8-10. If I were you, I'd try the older version (April 27, 2008) of the Kurti Brothers' advice in this post. It can't hurt.
