I'm trying to get my laptop connected to my 32" LCD TV through a HDMI cable. It works, but there's a huge amount of overscan I can't find a way to fix. Unlike the Windows version, the Linux nVidia drivers don't seem to offer a way of resizing the screen. After many hours of Googling, there seem to be only three options: find a way of getting xvidtune to configure the SECOND screen instead of the first, find the service menu on the TV to adjust the screen from there (most people don't even seem to OWN my model of TV, let alone have the service codes for it!), or pull my TV apart, voiding the warranty in the process, and trying to find out if there are manual screen adjustment controls somewhere inside.
Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this overscan issue?
