I have a HP Deskjet 4315v printer on a networked Windows machine. Samba can see the printer, but I can't find the proper driver to get it installed as the default printer for my HH8.04 machine. Is there an updated HP driver package available for Kubuntu 8.04??

According to the Linux Open Printing database, it should work with the "hpijs" driver package. You will probably need the "hplip" package as well. Both of these are available at your nearest (*)buntu repository. The current version seems to be 2.8.2+2.8.2-0ubuntu8
