Hp Photosmart 8450 driver?

I have an HP Photosmart 8450, connected via the network. Last time I had a fresh install of kubuntu, there was a photosmart 8400 driver under the HP drivers in 'add a printer', which worked great. This driver no longer seems to be present. How do I add it?
According to http://hplip.sourceforge.net/models/photosmart/photosmart_8400_series.html"]this page[/url], I need hplip, but I added this from the repos and no joy.

I have the HP PS8250 and HPLIP has the 8200 driver installed for it. Can you try that driver and see if that at least works? I know many HP devices tend to run fairly well on older model drivers. Worth a shot any way.
