    System Tray Configuration

    Hey all,
Is it possible to control which programs minimize to the system tray (on the panel) when I close them? Some programs, like Amarok, seem to do this from installation, and others, like Pidgin, seem to do so sporadically. Am I just missing a menu somewhere? It this option doesn't seem to be available under the "Configure System Tray" menus.
    Cheers.

    Re: System Tray Configuration

Amarok, and other KDE apps naturally have their system tray capabilities working properly in KDE, while non-kde apps such as pidgin (gtk/Gnome-based) often have issues with this, though theoretically they are supposed to work fine. Have you tried Kopete at all for IM?

Wow, thanks. I had never considered Kopete, but it seems to be working quite well! I guess I should look at more KDE-oriented programs in the future
