    how to get compiz with out xgl??

    i am using the gnome version of linuxmint and i tried to activate compiz with out xgl by marking the extra option which is in appearence/visualeffects .but it is not working

    i am using DG965RY chipset with intel grapic card(256mb)inbuilt


    please suggest me a good way ...
