    Importing Thunderbird profile

I have installed Thunderbird for Windows and i want to transfer all my settings (mails, accounts, etc) to thunderbird in Kubuntu. I know that these settings are stored in a profile folder in windows under .../application Data/me/thunderbird/profiles. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Check out the T-Bird docs; they are VERY well done, and I would imagine that at the very least, you can get your emails & email addresses exported/imported.
Thunderbird is very cooperative. In a pinch, I simply drag-and-drop profile files around as needed and it all just hooks-up and works.

Also, if you have the Lightning Add-On/Extension, you can export your Calendar information out as an ICS or CSV file to move that information between the two as well. Recently had to do that myself.
