    network monitor

On windoze I have programs like netmon which show me all connections to my modem with ip's. I can see the speed and I can disconnect them and use whois and such.

What program do you people use on kubuntu for this?

    Thanks, Jean.

    Re: network monitor

    About network monitors:

    You could (in the konsole):
    Code:
    apt-cache search network monitor
    ...
knemo - network interfaces monitor for KDE's systray
knetdockapp - Network activity monitor applet for KDE
knetload - a network meter for Kicker
knetstats - network interfaces monitor for KDE's systray
    ...
vnstat - console-based network traffic monitor
    ...
    Lot of...

    Eyecandy for your KDE-Desktop (SuperKaramba)

    Also network monitors.

I'm using knetload - simple, light, no crap.

If you need statistics, vnstat is your monitor.
vnStat is a network traffic monitor for Linux that keeps a log of daily network traffic for the selected interface(s).
    PHP frontend for vnstat

This is a PHP fronted end to vnStat, a network traffic logger. Since vnStat is console mode only I created this script to make a 'nice' report of the data collected by vnStat.
