    XMMS will not play in Gutsy

    Hi XMMS will not play anything in Kgutsy, and complains something is blocking the soundcard.
    This is so with mp3's and with streamtuner.
    Kaboodle and noatum play mp3's fine.
    Is there some fix or is it a broken package?

    xmms is all but dead afaict, please use audacious. (its basically a newer version of xmms that is still actively developed).

      Many thanks for that Disturbite,
      audacious works for mp3's but so far I cannot get it to work with streamtuner, some quirky configuration I guess.
