amarok tied to Xine?

    amarok tied to Xine?

    Anyone else notice that after upgrade, Amarok gets tied to Xine? If you remove either, the other gets removed too. Install one, and the other gets installed.

    Is this supposed to be like that, or is something awry in my system?

    Probably dependencies...
    Amarok depends on Xine, so Xine is probably marked "automatically installed", meaning if you remove Amarok it's no longer necessary.

    "sudo apt-get install amarok xine" will mark both as fully installed.
    For external use only.

      yeah, its prolly an updated dependency. but it doesn't surprise me, considering amarok is based on (or more specifically uses/is a frontend for) xine.
