Kernel 2.6.22-10 sound problem [2.6.22-9 works fine]

I have a Latitude DELL D820 using the kernel 2.6.22-9 all works fine, using the
2.6.22-10 my headphone doesn't exclude external speakers.

In the Kmixer with 2.6.22-9 I see the control: Master
with 2.6.22-10 I see the control: Headphone and Speakers but they interact each other, like lowering to 0 speaker I don't have any sound from speakes and headphon as soon I touch the headphone control (it was to
max already) then I have back the sound from both output.

Sounds seems to be a major issue with the latest kernel update, and especially with hda-intel. A quick search shows quite a few bugs already reported.
On my desktop I do have sound, but the mic doesn't work.
Kmix and alsamixer show only Master, PCM, Digital for output, and Digital for input, while previously there were many other available controls.
The only solution for now (while waiting for a fix) is to revert to the 2.6.22-9 kernel
