[SOLVED] Today's updates remove kubuntu-desktop???

Just sat down at my Gutsy machine..... started running updates, and i see it wants to "REMOVE" Kubuntu-desktop?? If i'm not mistaken this is one of the major chunks of kubuntu..... or is it just a metapackage to install a bunch of other packages

even so.... i'd like to be sure before i upgrade my system. Any thoughts

its a meta package. don't worry about it, nothing depends on it as i recall.

And all the while, keep in mind you are using alpha software.

Kubuntu-desktop is really nothing, I cannot install it quite a long time in Gutsy Just be carefull, cause in the future, some update can remove entire xorg, KDE and almost whole base system

no prob. metapackages are harmless to install, cuz, afaik if you uninstall one it doesn't uninstall the related packages...
