Got this far, now I'm stuck!

After ages and ages of rooting around different forums I finally got my WPN111 running... sorta.
The blue light is flashing and I have wlan0 up under "Available Network Interfaces" in Network settings. I've set up the key and ESSID and everything, to the best of my knowledge, is right. But the device still won't show up when I click the connection status icon. It just says "No active Device" and the internet doesn't work.
    Does anybody have any tips?
    Cheers

What network manager are you using? Is the target network open, or is WEP/WPA(1/2) in use? Is the ESSID of the target network hidden?

I'm using whatever network manager comes with kubuntu :?
Anyway, I have since got it to work. Just installed kubuntu 8.04 and everything worked like a charm
      Thanks for the help though

take a butchers at WICD for your wireless management its a lot easier and seems to work better!
