    'capped' download speed

Hi I connect to the internet using bluetooth and a Sony Ericsson K800i as a 3g data modem. When I start anything that uses the internet I first get a download speed of around 7kB/sec rising to around 15kB/sec after ten minutes. After about 20 minutes the connection jumps to around 45kB/sec (the speed it should run at). Does anyone know why this is? Is there is any way I can 'force' my connection to be a certain speed or use as much bandwidth as it possibly can? Having experimented with the connection set up in windows xp I can verify that it mostly (not always!) downloads at around 38-42kB/sec so I know the issue is not caused by my network provider. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So i'm I right on thinking that you are connecting the sony Ericsson to pc/laptop through a bluetooth adapter If so try directly connecting it through usb.
