Wireless Realtek problem on 64 bit Gutsy on Toshiba

I cannot see the Realtek RTL8187B on my Toshiba A205-S5803. I have installed wlassistant and when trying to run it, it says "No usable Wireless devices found."

Of course, I do not see the interface when going to System Settings > Network Settings.

This Realtek hardware works under Vista (Dual Boot).

Any ideas what I should try next?

Perhaps you'll need to download and compile the driver or find out what the module name of the driver is and do
    Code:
    modprobe <driver name>
    Natty Narwhal 11.4 KDE 4.4.3

Thanks, I need to figure out what to do with the information you provided. If I download the ~tar.gz file, then how do I compile it?
