I have had great success using ndiswrapper. You can find instructions for getting the wireless card working in Gutsy here:

Configuring MadWifi using Wireless Extensions Probably contains more than you may want to know, but likely contains everything you need to know.

I looked on ubuntuforums and several other places and not one mentioned needing madwifi for this nic. All said that it worked out of the box and a few mentioned ndiswrapper.

i have choose to install madwifi because this is a software specific to atheros wireless cards...

That's how I got wireless working on my laptop. I tried the restricted drivers in Gutsy, but those did not work. I used ndiswrapper on another laptop before, so I know it works. Good luck, and if something doesn't work, let me know.
