    knetworkmanager gone?

I upgraded my gutsy today and suddenly my wireless connection was gone, including the knetworkmanager tray applet:-(

Package: network-manager-kde_0.2ubuntu1-0ubuntu3_i386.deb seems to be nearly empty.
After downgrading to network-manager-kde_0.2ubuntu1-0ubuntu1_i386.deb all seems well again...

Same thing here. The applet is gone. Konsole says knetworkmanager is not installed and advices to apt-get install network-manager-kde, but then, after sudo, says that network-manager-kde is already at the most recent version.

The system log is full of NetworkManager entries. I've never seen so many.

BTW, I've never done it... which commands should I use to downgrade?

      TIA

lanzen, download the file network-manager-kde_0.2ubuntu1-0ubuntu1_i386.deb from archive.ubunut.com and the do a "sudo dpkg -i network-manager-kde_0.2ubuntu1-0ubuntu1_i386.deb". this complains about downgrading, but goes ahead and allis fine...

Thank you. Thing is, I'm on AMD64. Should I try and change the i386 bit, I wonder.

Ok, patched! I had to go back a bit more.

You're right: the new packets seem to be empty.

                  Thank you.

                    Re: knetworkmanager gone?

just updated and the new package (..04) is ~400k instead of the meager 14k, plus it works :-)
