    KDE Networkmanager does not load

    KDE Networkmanager gives error:

    "KDEInit could not load knetworkmanager"

    upon loading from Kicker.

I already have re-installed the OS several times. No change.
If I go to 'Lost+Found' I can load network interfaces from there. But no connections are established.

KWifiManger is running fine. Network connection requires command line to start with "sudo dhclient ath0" to initiate.

    Is this a bug?

    To answer my own question:

    Apparently it was a bug.

One of the recent updates fixed the problem. No more error messages; KNetworkmanager now is loading.

Wireless is still a hit and miss proposition.
More often than not I can get it only to work by using KWifiManager to scan for a network and then a command line to connect with 'sudo dhclient XXX'.

Inconvenient, but, hey, it works - often but not always.

It's funny how KDE Networkmanager works beautifully in OpenSuse 10.2.... never drops a connection, loads automatically every boot, etc...

Why can't "they" get it to work in Kubuntu?? >
