Disable the Nat Adaptor on Vbox window ( it looks like two TV's ) before trying to install the OS, or the installer will hang at 82% trying to update apt. on a non-exhisting network adaptor. Just un-check the adaptor ( in the vbox window ), and you should see an unplugged adaptor picture on the "Kubuntu Panel,next to the clock". If you have done things properly, once you see the unplugged adaptor picture, you can go ahead and choose "Install" from the Kubuntu desktop.
