Belkin USB Wireless Card Not Detected On Boot

I have an Acer PC with a Belkin USB wireless card that works fine with Kubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon. The problem is, it is not detected every time I boot the machine. Sometimes I can boot into Windows Vista and then back into Kubuntu and the card works, sometimes it doesn't. On the occasions that it is detected, the LED indicator on the card goes out briefly (during startup). So many times, I just keep rebooting (Ctrl+Alt+Del) if the light doesn't go out by the time the blue progress bar hits a certain point.

Is there a way to force detection of the card every time I boot into Kubuntu?

I suggest you post this either as a question or a bug in Ubuntu Launchpad.

If there's anything interesting in /var/log/message, /var/log/syslog, or /var/log/kern.log, you could probably post that as well.

I have found Belkin to be a very reasonable company. You might also want to ask them about this as well.
