I have installed kubuntu 7.10 with kde4 and so far i am loving it other than the limits on customization. I cannot find anywhere a program that will allow me to add programs to the startup of the system. I currently have compiz installed (because i want the cube mostly) and i need it to run on startup but i am unable to set it up. The directory structure seems to be different so i don't know where to put a startup script nor can i find anything in the system settings program. Has anyone ran into this or can anyone help?

 Re: Startup program manager kde4?

 Have you tried to make ~/.kde4/Autostart/ (or ~/.kde4/autostart/) ?

 KDE 3:
 FAQ: How to start programs when KDE starts or stops
 http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/inde...opic=3086795.0

 => ~/.kde/Autostart and ~/.kde/shutdown

 Maybe:

 For systemwide (to all users):
 /usr/lib/kde4/share/autostart/

 Why there are dead links ?
