I have kubuntu gutsy installed with compiz fusion running pretty well but how do you install more themes into emrald im new at this so be easy on me tell me how in easy to understand terms i also dont know how to install caps on my cube it took me a week to get everything working fairly well without to many crashes.

hi there - I'm new too, so I'm not exactly sure - but I did manage to install a few themes with success (others without success). I right-clicked on my desktop and chose "change desktop background"

Then I clicked on the "theme" tab, clicked "install" and chose the package I had previously downloaded.

Like I said, some of the themes I downloaded worked just fine, and others did NOT. Until someone who has a real answer replies, you can try that.

Where did you get the themes kde .org ,,after you download from the sight where do you save them to and how do you get them into emrald themes

I saved the themes to the desktop, since I can always find it again after download.

I can't remember the exact site... but I did a google for KDE themes and that's where I went from

Like I said, I'm new myself - so I'm actually not familiar with emrald themes - is that a program? The only way I've tried it is how I described above.

I have a daughter by the name Elizabeth yours is close just jumbled but anway emerald is a themes packager for compiz fusion .also i cant get pictures on the top and bottom of my cube.i just dont know how to download stuff from kde.org and install it after i do get it downloaded i put it on my desktop but what then..Maybe someone will tell us how thanks beth..
