ok, just a quick question about installing kde4 through gutsy. for some reason i downloaded the kde4 live cd (without all the needed packages), and am wondering if i will be able to install from that cd to the regular gutsy kde3. as my internet access is VERY slow, and don't have time to download via 'apt-get'

Re: installing kde4 in gutsy
well, what would you suggest? i mean, is there an .iso, or an easy way to go about the upgrade should i happen to decide to waste all that time downloading? just get the repo's and add as an installation source?sony vaio - VGN-B55G
intel pentium M 715 (1.5 GHz overclocked to 1.98 GHz)
intel 855GME chipset
256 Mb SDRAM @ 333 MHz on board
40 Gb Ultra ATA/100
CD-RW/DVD-ROM: 24x25x8
64 Mb intel 855GME graphics accelerator
14.1" XGA TFT colour
2x 1" dolby synthetic digital 5.1

Re: installing kde4 in gutsy
you can add a Kubuntu cdrom in Adept's Manage Repository section, under the Third Party. You may already have an entry for Gutsy's cdrom in there, eb=nabling that may work for a Hardy disk, but I have not tried either of these myself
