Upgraded from 7.04 to 7.10 Menu entries

I have upgraded my 7.04 to 7.10 without any big problems. The only thing is that all of my KDE start menu entries now say " _: entries in K-menu: KinfoCenter app name. info center d.." for each application and utility. I can't seem to rename them.

everything works, but it is confusing.

Any ideas as to how I can fix this? or rename them?

Right-click the KMenu and choose "Edit Applications Menu". You should be able to make your changes there.

Yes, I have to agree. The direct post (within my links given) to the solution is here. And the exact text is:

          Go to K > System Settings > Regional & Language >
Under the Locale tab, select your location in the top right drop down list

            Found the Rabbit!!!!!.

changed my locale from default to my region. logged out and back in. Problem solved. I guess the script that runs when you change locale does other things as well.

            thanks all
