    Kubuntu up and died on me again.

    When I start up my computer I get this
    Code:
    Starting up...
    Loading, please wait...

    usplash: Setting mode 1152x864 failed

    Kinit: No resume image, doing normal boot...
    I then logged in and attempted to restart x with
    Code:
    startx
    and I got this
    Code:

    (==) Using config file: "/etc/X11/xorg.conf"

    Please help me out here, it's been a lousy week, an even worse day and while I certainly love the fact that every piece of technology more advanced then a rock winds up broken (and even the rock sometimes...) around me, I certainly did not relish transcribing this to paper and then back into digital format in my current condition.

    Thanks

    I think dibl's How to get started with no GUI will help.

      I completely forgot about that, thanks! I had to enable nvidia-config to get my 1440x900 back but still, it's all better now. But I do have to ask, why does it keep breaking?
