Network card disabled and no sound after install of 7.1

    Hi,
I experienced some trouble after upgrade from 7.04 to 7.10. Upgrade by use of packet tool did not work and I installed from CD. Now, my network card was disabled, and I have not managed to get it working. It is a realtek card that worked fine with 7.04. Same problem with the sound, no sound when going from 7.04 to 7.10.
Can anyone help? I am not so experienced in CL.

    Are they being detected?

    Code:
    lspci
    eriefisher
    ~$sudo make me a sandwich

Yes, they are both of them. Unfortunately I can not copy results from the actual PC to this one, as the usb is not detected.
Tried to play a CD audio, only constant beeping sound

As I did not manage to work around these problems, I re-installed 7.04. Noww, all works perfect and I think I will wait for next year before upgrading again, obvious some bugs in the 7.1 that affects my PC during installation.
        Thanks!
