So what are you doing to "make work" your IR port? What do you want it to do that it is not doing?

        Hello

I'm new to linux and just manage to install Kubuntu 7.10 few days ago in an old ECS Desknote.

First, the built-in conexant modem not working, but since hsfmodem driver installed, it works just fine. My problem is that I can' get the built-in infra red device work. I've installed irda-utils but still don't work.

Do I also need to install any driver for this irda to work, thanks
