fat32 hard drive

hi. i used linux to format an external USB hard drive with the FAT32 file system. However, when i am in windows and plug in the drive, it recognizes the device, but not the actual fat32 partition is there a reason that this may be happening? everything works fine in linux. thanks.

Umm... Normally I'd suggest support from the other end, but it's not likely that the guys doing (or not doing) Windows support would be as knowledgeable or helpful, so...

First thing I'd suggest is trying to reformat under Windows.
