    Boot Loader

By default Kubuntu installs grub on the MBR and the user is given no option as to where to install grub.
It wud have been nicer if the installer gives a chance whether to mount grub in MBR or root partition.

Download the "alternate" version from the mirrors...this version gives you the option to install grub to your root partition.

yeah, but an option in the graphical installer still would not go amiss - also a hint that if the options provided by the graphical installer are not sufficient there is the alternate cd....

There is an option in the graphical installer since edgy.Yep, just click an the advanced button after partitioning and before actually doing "install". I agree in that it should be better described/mentioned in the live install procedure.

Another thing that would be even more handy apart from making it visible to the naked eye is the ability to edit it. An "auto os find" function followed by a list of oss found and the choice which one to have as the default, which ones to scrap, etc. would be great!
