    DVD Decrypting and Cloning

I have been using Kubuntu on and off for a year now but I always fall back on windows Xp to Backup my DVDs because Xp can use AnyDvd ,Clone Dvd,Dvdshrink, and My personal favorite DVD Fab Platnum But Ihave yet to see a Linux program that can decrypt DVDs and remove region codes. And for cloning Linux dvd backup programs seem really buggy or don't work at all. Will Ubuntu Make improvements to these issues in the future

I have had similar frustration as yours. I was using Autogk on Windows and was pretty satisfied. I am now using acidrip and am pretty pleased. I tried dvd:rip and never could get it working correctly. acidrip is in the repos.

All you need is libdvdcss2, libdvdread3 and k9copy all of them are contained in the repos.

Agree, K9Copy, works as a one stop shop for me. And I was a Windoze user who used all the other Windoze programs.

I use k9copy but it crashes a bit so when that happens I run DVDShrink using Wine and that works quite well.
