Are you attempting to do so from the command line, or via Adept Manager? The preferred way is via Adept Manager, assuming it is available (listed).Windows no longer obstruct my view.

Basket is already in the repositories (ever since Edgy I think). So you could simply just get it through apt-get, Adept Mangler, or Add/Remove Programs.
However, there's a bug in the current Kontact version (from KDE PIM Enterprise) that makes Kontact crash if Basket is integrated into it, so they disabled that for now, at least until the fix is made. Meaning you'll have to run Basket separately from Kontact.Comment

- If you have copied text output that contains formatting (colors, highlighting, etc.), please do not enclose it in QUOTE or CODE tags. Just right-click your mouse and choose "Paste Without Formatting" or similar (Paste as plain text).
