Kubuntu 7.04 - Can't login after installing Citrix 10.6 client- KDE login loop

I recently installed Kubuntu, and everything has been running great. The last thing that I needed to install was the Citrix Client. I went to Citrix's web page, and pulled the latest linux client that I saw (10.6). I installed it from the tar file. It appeared to install correctly because I saw it in the menu, and I could configure the client.

Later that day, I rebooted. When I did, I seem to be stuck in a loop at the KDE login screen. If I enter my correct password, the screen blanks for a few seconds, then returns to the KDE login prompt again. If I enter an incorrect password (purposely), I get the error stating my PW is incorrect. I can still login to the command line w/ crtl-alt-f1, using the username/pw that I was using at the KDE login screen.

I have confirmed that something in the Citrix install has caused this. I reloaded Kubuntu, downloaded all of the updates, and installed firefox. I rebooted the machine without issue. Next, I downloaded the Citrix client again, and performed the install. After the install, I rebooted, and recreated the KDE login problem.

What can I do/check/delete from the command line to correct this issue. I need to use Citrix, so simply not installing it in the future's not going to cut it.

You did not specify, so I'll ask: Did you perform the installation as outlined in the Unix_Client_Administrator_Guide? Beginning on page 19 of this guide, you will find information for installing using the .tar file and integrating Citrix with the KDE or GNOME.

I did not read the guide prior to the installation, but reading it, it appears that I followed it to the letter. Thanks for posting the guide.
