Re: GTK and Firefox
Not fully. I still have this scrollbar bug in firefox (however there is one workaround: sudo apt-get install gnome-themes and choose "Use another style" under "GTK Styles and Fonts"; e.g. anything other than "Qt")Originally posted by jacatoneIt's there under System Settings/Background. At least Kubuntu has fixed the GTK, KDE problem unlike Mepis and others.

Re: GTK and Firefox
There's a workaround for KDE: K Menu > System Settings > Appearance > GTK Styles and Fonts > Firefox and Thunderbird.
That fixes the problem or the box in the scrollbar going over or under the "scroll up" arrow at the bottom, but it creates another problem, pretty hard to explain. It involves a line of pixels not updating when the scrollbar box moves. For external use only.

Re: GTK and Firefox
make sure that you got "gtk-qt-engine" package installed; if it is installed then try reinstalling it; you could also see if launching "kcontrol" itself instead of kubuntu's system settings will make any difference (Alt+F2 and kcontrol).Originally posted by volnBut there in not otpion "GTK Styles and Fonts "
I don't know why?
