I am new to linux, well sort of.
I have been running Linux webservers for 10 years and this is the first home linux I have installed.
"Bye Bye Vista"
This is a 64 bit feisty and all is running like a clock on a very high end machine.
AMD FX-60x2-64, 4 gigs memory, nvidia 7800 GTX 512 memory
and I am impressed.
My question is: I downloaded a linux weather program "wxnet"
How do I install it?
Thankyou
Ron

In Linux, you really need not care "where" it is. If it is a GUI package, it will normally appear in your Kmenu menu system, in whatever category it belongs. Some don't, in which case you can run it from the Alt-F2 command line, or a konsole window, by simply entering the name of it.
