    Xine subtitle font

    Hello!

After having used Kubuntu for a year, I recently migrated to Gentoo. However, there are some customizations I miss from the former distro:

For example, the Debian/Ubuntu package of Kaffeine uses a special xine font, that is not present when compiling from scratch. What is its name? Furthermore, how do I obtain it?

(From what I've gathered, xine can use both its own format, and freetype fonts, so what works in Ubuntu should work equally well for me.)

I would greatly appreciate if anyone of you using Kaffeine would check your settings and post them here.

    Thank you
    Timothy

    Re: Xine subtitle font

I am sorry for bumping this thread, but it should be really easy for anyone with a normal Kubuntu installation to help me, since Kaffeine is included by default.

    Here's how:

In menu bar, go to "Settings->xine Engine Parameters", and then to "Subtitles". It would be really helpful if anyone could write what the settings are...

    Thank you in advance.

      My Kaffeine (Xine) subtitle settings:

      subtitle size: small
      subtitle vertical offset: 0
      encoding ot the subtitles: iso-8859-1
      font for subtitles: sans
use unscaled OSD if possible: on
      Before you edit, BACKUP !

Why there are dead links ?
