    Clear Channel Streams

Does anybody know of any way to make streams such as the following play in Firefox? Or heck, for that matter, I'd take outside of it too.

As far as I know, all of Clear Channel's streams are set up in this way, and I can't play them.

    http://www.740theteam.com/cc-common/...?refreshed=yes

    for example.

I have tried gxine, mozilla-mplayer (couldn't even get it to run), and a compiled version of mplayerplug-in. With the last, I am able to stream every test stream I could find (including wmv and avi files), but still can't get these pages to stream. I don't think it is my proxy, because the stream will play fine on a windows computer with WMP9.

Anyone have any luck with these? Any tips to pass on?

I can't get these either to work, but I haven't installed w32codecs yet. Will test it out. Sometimes the streams just won't work. It all depends on what codec the station uses and what works with the plugin.

well the first link streams, but it takes quite a while for it to load, and it looks like the second one is very slow to load as well. But they do both work, using mozilla-mplayer (which is actually the debian packagename for mplayer-plugin)
