linux game running?

hello i am having sort of trouble running a game. it is a linux mmorpg game. i do not know how to actually run the program after i installed it off the site. im kinda new...
i did the update thing and install thing but i dont see an icon for it or anything. do i need like more packages or sumthing? plz help me
