Dear Forum Members and Guests,
We successfuly installed kubuntu Breezy Final, on our near new just months old iMac G5 17" LCD Flat Screen with ATI 9600 Graphics Chipset on logic board Revision 2 PC. This PC is still being sold around the world by Apple Resellers even though production of it ceased last month (October 2005)
But at the point where the KDE GUI starts to load in the perhiphials and load the KDE Desktop the wired mouse freezes up and the boot up fails. Forceing a "Hard Power Off"
Both Ubuntu Breezy Preview and Breezy Final froze up our wired Mouse and wired Keyboard at the GUI Login post successful installs as well.
Is their a workaround for the kubuntu mouse freeze up ?
unfortunately it is impossible to know at this stage if the keyboard is also frozen.
