    resolv.conf

Well my other post got 159 views so far and zero replys.

So I will go at it another way. Can anyone tell me where resolv.conf gets written from? I did grep -R resolv.conf in /etc but I find nothing in any script, other then in ppp and I'm not using ppp, that writes to resolv.conf. Something is writing to it. I remember when I used slackware it was very straight forward. But in kubuntu it's anything but.

    Re: resolv.conf

    the dhcp client writes /etc/resolv.conf.
    that's /sbin/dhclient-script.

      Jankushka...

you seem very knowledgable about dhcp and network configuration in kubuntu...

I posted a request for help related to kNetworkManager and loss of internet connection. Could you check it out and lend a hand if you know the solution?

      Thanks
