How can I connect without KnetworkManager -- using Konsole?

I'd like to reinstall KnetworkManager -- what are the command lines to connect to the internet via wireless using the Konsole?

Once I'm connected I can reinstall by adept -- but I can't do anything unless I can connect.

Wireless was working earlier but knetworkmanager got corrupted somehow, so I want to uninstall and re-install. The card has proper drivers, etc. since it has already been used to connect in the past.

channel = 6
WPA-psk
DHCP
