Feisty Herd 3 Crashes on Install

I manged to install Feisty Herd 2 on my older laptop, but couldn't on my newer one. Herd 3 fixed the problem I was having with the install questions on the machine, but this time installation failed on Grub install. I have tried reporting a bug, but launchpad.net is down.

Wiping the disk and using 100% of the space (guided), I managed to get Feisty Herd 3 running. However, when I tried reinstalling with manual disk partitioning, GRUB was not correctly installed. The computer is out of commission until this install problem is sorted.
