    Make initrd

    Hi,some days ago..i decided install new other kernel... There are all steps flows succussfully, one problem has appeared: i can't make initrd for my new kernel..i tried mkinitrd -o , nothing.. Thanks

    So,i do it myself with google,but i'm already hav't device like radio,neded modules are loaded, the new kernel is 2.6.23.12,but i recieve message about troubles with devfs, not mounted, but system start normally...

      I think devfs needed for ext3 filesystem,but i have ext2 one. Is it right?

        Actually, udev have for a great deal replaced devfs, and users are encourage to use udev instead.

          Thanks,i've read.. And.. There's nothing any message with own kernel in the kubuntu 7.04 about devfs,so his version is 2.6.20.15? May be i compile new kernel with support devfs..and she's not avaliable.. I'll see about it.

            I make initrd, but its not compressed, about 40 mb size, but working...
