    Working system and /home

    Hi, how can i add /home directory on the separate partition? Now i have /home one on the system partition. Thanks.

      It's a three step process:

      1 .- Create the new partition (you will need to resize another partition or buy a new hard disk)
      2 .- Copy all your data from you home to the new partition
      3 .- Mount your new partition as /home.

      You will probably need some LiveCD for the first step (unless you are using a new HD).

      Please, make a backup before working with partitions. BTW, doing it in a new install is way easier .

        I have read infos,thanks, i care about some links,adjustment files and desktop environments.and i'm already have partition for this from my old linux system, am i must do it throught live cd and not by my working system? Thanks...from Russia..
